LANGUAGES
Greek  and Turkish are the official languages. is the main language. English is widely spoken. French and German are also spoken within the tourist industry.

RELIGION
The majority of Cypriots are Greek Orthodox Christian (85%). Other religious are represented on the island as well, including Armenians, Maronites, Roman Catholic, Latins and Muslims.

CLIMATE
Cyprus enjoys an intense Mediterranean climate, with long dry Summers, from mid-May to mid-October, and with mild Winters from December to February, which are separated by short Autumn and Spring seasons. Summer is a season of high temperatures, with cloudless skies and the sea breeze creating a pleasant atmosphere in the coastal areas. Winters are mild with some rain and snow in Troodos mountains. In Cyprus, there is abundant sunshine, and even in December and January there is an average of six hours of bright sunshine per day. Over 300 days per year are sunny!
