This tour is divided into two parts: a walking tour of the Old City and a panoramic tour by coach. The coach tour begins on the new panoramic road offering a breathtaking view of Dubrovnik and its riviera. Next, it's off to the Pile Gate to the beginning of the famous main street, the Stradun for a guided tour. Here, you will see the Franciscan Monastery (exterior) whose cloister ranks among the most inspiring sites of the city. It is also home to the oldest working pharmacy in Europe (opened in 1317). From here, you'll visit the Cathedral, built on the remains of a 12th Century church that was destroyed in 1667 by an earthquake as well as the Sponza Palace, noted for its columned courtyard. You will also see the Dominican Monastery (exterior) and the Sponza Palace(exterior). After the guided tour you will have free time and an opportunity to explore the town on your own
In the charming village of Orašac take part in the production of olive oil the old fashioned way, where the «mill» is driven by a horse. This trip through time will certainly delight you. Here you will also have the opportunity to taste some home made cheese, smoked ham and wine. All this in an old fashioned house which has not changed much through the ages. In the times of the Dubrovnik Republic, Ston was the second most important town. Its wealth was derived from the salt works that are still in function today. Although being known for the spectacular city walls, that are considered to be the second longest in the world, today this region is predominantly known as the «oyster capital» of Croatia. Here you will be served a nice sea food platter(octopus, mussels, small fish and an oyster). Finally we will pay a visit to one of the best known wine producers in the region. The Pelješac peninsula has been known for it's excellent wines for ages. And the Miloš family wine cellar is today certainly one of the foremost representatives of this production. During the visit to the cellar a pleasant wine tasting will be organized.
